I'm sad to see Mark go, he is a cutie pie, but Melissa was a terrible dancer. It was good to see her back on TV though.

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
I just found out Louie is a relatively local guy -- about 30 miles away. Apparently, his parents are "interesting" (kind of in a show business way -- say whatever needs to be said at the time (oh, or maybe political LOL) -- but I guess Louis was bragging about some of his drug activities shortly before he was named to the show.....so he's not so wonderful in many local people's eyes.
FYI in case you wanted a little scoop :)

I am sad to see Melissa go. I think she was doing a good job, much better than Kelly O. Melissa is so cute!
Not too sad about Louie. He was fun to watch, but not too good. I am more sad to see his pro Chelsie go.

I'm sad to see Melissa go too, but not her partner. He really bugged me this season. He always looked bored and like he really didn't want to be there (or maybe he didn't like Melissa?!?).
I don't know why Michael is still there! He's the worst dancer by far! I'll miss Louie and his partner. They had the best chemistry (makes me wonder if they are dating). |

I think that Chelsie way outdanced her partner in the 30 sec dance. He looked good but she looked like she went for it 100% which in this case I felt took away for him. I think that she needed to scale it back a bit for her partner.

They sure have a lot of chemistry or it is like watching teenagers together.

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
Lacey Schwimmer Sidelined on DWTS
Monday – November 02, 2009 – 5:24pm US Magazine Dancing With the Stars pro Lacey Schwimmer has fallen ill and is unable to dance on tonight's episode, Usmagazine.com has confirmed. Partnered with Iron Chef host Mark Dacascos, Schwimmer, 21, will be replaced by ousted pro Anna Trebunskaya, who got eliminated with Chuck Liddell on Oct. 14. The dancer was stricken with the flu while traveling in New York with her partner over the weekend. "I'm super sad to be sick today. Ugh," Schwimmer Twittered Monday. She will sit out two dances -- the samba and the paso doble, this week's group routine. Schwimmer's fellow DWTS pro, Derek Hough, was also sidelined this season with a nasty bout of the flu virus. "I don't even know how to describe it," Hough told Us of his illness earlier this month, which was thought to be swine flu -- but later confirmed not to be. "It felt like horse flu! It was unbelievable. I was out."

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
Oh, that's too bad. Seems like lots of people are getting hit; over the weekend a local cross country team missed their chance at state because 2 of their best runners were sidelined. Really too bad.
I hope she's better soon! I do love Anna, though! :)

They made a big deal out of Kelly's dancing & then gave her 8's. The way they went on & on about it, I thought she was going to get 9's or 10's. Anyway, I didn't think it was that great. I thought it was kind of boring.

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
Tuesday’s Dancing: What You Didn’t See
November 4, 2009 Pass the Luck: Before Aaron Carter performed the jive on Tuesday night’s dance-off, Kelly Osbourne ran onto the dance floor, gave him a hug and a good luck charm. “I said, ‘Wear my lucky bracelet.’ I wear my lucky bracelet every week,” she said, pointing to her beaded bracelet. “[My fiancé] Luke [Worrall] made it for me.” Model Curse Broken? Playboy’s December covergirl Joanna Krupa is excited and thankful to be entering week 8 of the competition. “When I first got here, I hoped to get to week 3 because of the model curse,” she told PEOPLE after the show. It seems every model on the show has been eliminated on or before the third week. In season 1, Rachel Hunter left in week 3; Shanna Moakler was booted in week 2 on season 3; supermodel Paulina Porizkova left the first week in season 4; Albert Reed was eliminated in week 2 the following season; and Playboy model Holly Madison only made it to week 3 last season. Even Kathy Ireland was out early this season! If Krupa doesn’t leave with the mirror ball trophy, she’s at least proven that models can dance. Flip Flop: Mark Dacascos, host of Iron Chef America, says it was a great experience working with his dance partner Lacey Schwimmer on her show. He hopes she will return the favor. “It’s in the works,” says Dacascos about the possibility of Schwimmer being a guest judge. “I just don’t want anything disgusting,” Schwimmer joked, “like animal organs that shouldn’t be taken out of an animal. I would love chocolate or the secret ingredient is sugar!” Pre-Game Ritual: Before every show, Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova calm their nerves by running through their routine in a private room. Then, Irvin says, he goes to his trailer to “listen to some sermons. Pray. I say, ‘God, get these feet moving.’ I need prayer and hard work,’” Irvin says. Unfortunately, this week’s ritual was his last since he was eliminated Tuesday night. Ballas Hough Band Is Back: The Ballas Hough Band performed the first single, “Move,” off their upcoming album Tuesday night. “This is more of a club track and something you can really move to,” says Mark Ballas, one half of the duo that also features Derek Hough. Their performance included a slew of dancers and one of them was a backup dancer for Michael Jackson’s This Is It film. Hough, who recently saw the movie, spotted the dancer on the big screen and called the movie inspiring. “He taught me to trust my instinct,” he said of Jackson. –Elaine Aradillas

I was disappointed that Joanna hung around another week. I really think there is a fix that is keeping her in until her Playboy "spread" is released. I mean, what kind of fan base could she have?

Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle is reportedly set to impress with her pipes on "DWTS." The 48-year-old " Britain's Got Talent" finalist will head to L.A. for a "Dancing" appearance early next week, her rep tells People.com. Boyle's new album, I Dreamed a Dream, is expected out Nov. 24. Yahoo!!! Something to look forward to on this show! :)

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
Do you remember when the pro dancers weren't even interviewed or talked to? I think during the first 3 seasons, they just talked to the stars after each dance.
Now, the pros seem to be just as important as the celebs & are talking & acting like they're also stars. The show seems to have helped the pro dancers' careers, too. I agree about Derek Hough - his ego is now almost as big as Maks'. But, he is an excellent dancer & choreographer & I think he's a lot more likable than Maks. Maks just manages to makes me sick. Karina has been tweeting that she is very sick with the flu....she and Aaron have been practicing but she is wearing a mask and very achy and winded (goodness, take a break girlfriend!)....last night she tweeted that Aaron may be coming down with it...(ya think?) This year they were smarter about the injuries, but messing with the flu is not much better.

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
Dancing with the Stars
Monday’s Dancing: What You Didn’t See November 10, 2009 PEOPLE WATCH Dream Come True: As Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle, whose first CD will be released Nov. 23, slowly made her entrance onto the Dancing with the Stars stage late Monday afternoon to pre-tape a performance, which will air on Tuesday’s results show, the crowd burst into applause. Boyle looked elegant in a black sequined gown, her hair coiffed to perfection. Despite battling a case of pre-show nerves, Boyle was completely in her element once the orchestra began playing the opening notes of her signature song, “I Dreamed a Dream” from the musical Les Miserables. Dancers Tony Dovolani and Chelsie Hightower performed an elegant routine to Boyle’s spot-on vocals. But because of a wardrobe malfunction — Dovolani’s bowtie came unfastened from his tuxedo shirt — they had to do a second take. Unbelievably, it was even better than the first. Under Pressure: Mya and Aaron Carter have performed to huge audiences in their lives, but both admit that as season 9 winds down, the pressure has intensified. Mya, who finally broke through Len Goodman’s low-score barrier, says she’s not going to rest on Monday night’s achievement. “We got 10s, so we must have been really good. But now we have to work extra hard to maintain that,” Mya told PEOPLE. But first, she admitted, a celebration was in order: “My family is in town from Maryland, so we’re going to go out and eat and relax.” Meanwhile, Carter was so spent after his ’90s-style samba that “I was gagging,” he said, admitting that even though he looked calm and collected, “I didn’t get over the nerves tonight. They were there.” Repeat Performance: Speaking of nerves, Sabrina Bryan was feeling the pressure of being back at the ballroom Monday night. One of the stars of season 5, she received more votes than any other former contestant as the celebrity viewers would most like to see return to the show. “I have a huge team behind me, Team Sabrina, that has been behind me since the elimination and this was their chance to rectify their feelings and get vengeance for me. I was extremely honored,” Bryan told PEOPLE backstage. On Tuesday’s results show, Bryan will perform the paso doble with a male pro whose identity is a secret. Being back in the studio resurrected butterflies for Bryan. “I was just as nervous as I was the first time I was on the show,” said Bryan, who rehearsed for about five days. “I’m really excited. I came to the show today to get into ballroom and the atmosphere again. I thought it would help calm my nerves and all it did was heighten them.” Too Much of a Good Thing: Before the show, judge Bruno Tonioli walked from his trailer to the studio wearing nothing but a robe. Buff and tan, Tonioli pulled back the robe’s collar and joked with Carrie Ann Inaba to “take a picture of this.” Inaba rolled her eyes at her uninhibited costar. She was much more excited to look at the 27 carats of Rafinity diamond jewelry she was wearing, including a white diamond necklace and a 20-carat black and white diamond cuff bracelet. Character Building: The first hour of Monday’s show featured elegant ballroom dances in formal attire. But for the second half, everyone let their hair down — or stuffed it under a wig — to capture the time period for the Latin routines. Mya, who had much success helping to design Team DMya’s wardrobe last week, took to the drawing board again for the couple’s ’70s garb. “I got Dmitry to wear pink!” she said. While he channeled Sonny Bono, Mya looked like a roller queen in a sequined hot pink lycra pantsuit. “This is really comfortable,” she said of the outfit. “Sometimes you get a little insecure wearing all these short skirts that the pros wear. You can move really well in this.” Derek Hough and Joanna Krupa had by far the most inventive costumes, with battery-fueled LED lights accenting their silver futuristic attire. “When we heard future I was like, ‘LED lights in the costume. I don’t care how you guys do it and how you guys have to make it happen. It has to be good,’ and they did it,” he explained. After the show, Hough played with the switch on his jacket and joked, “You turn me on.” A new pickup line? “I don’t think so,” Krupa said with laugh. –Monica Rizzo

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
I think they would have kept Donny Osmond on the show even if he weren't a good dancer. he's a big name & they can't afford to get rid of the big name people.
That makeup Donny was wearing was creepy! Very strange. Kelly needs to stop wearing those ugly, bright-colored wigs. It's too distracting. Mya & that model (I forgot her name) are good dancers, but they don't have any personality. It's like they can't talk. LOL. |

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
Based on dance ability, Kelly should have been the one to go. I really feel that Aaron and Karina were underscored this week and that caused them to be sent home.
I do not care for Kelly's attitude at all. Of the four left, the only one I really would like to see win is Donny. I laughed on Dance Center when they got in a jab about Mya's professional experience when they started discussing Dmitry as the contestant.

Aaron Carter looked so sad. He was taking this very seriously.
He probably needs the money since he really doesn't have a singing career anymore. This show was giving him a paycheck & hopefully the exposure will get him another job. |

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
I was happy with the way things turned out last night.
I thought that Aaron performed very well and loved what Len said to him but when it came down to it I preferred Kelly to stay. I can really see the transformation and professionalism coming out. I agreed with the judge that said he had his reservations about her even staying and not quitting. Hey is Shawn can win then Kelly can. :) |

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
There is no comparison between an adorable, sweet girl like Shawn and the foul mouthed, whiney Kelly.
This has to be the worst final four ever. Go Donny!!

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
I see no comparison in their dancing ability either. Shawn was fantastic. Kelly is marginal. She was not the worst of the group of 16, but she certainly is not the best. As much as it pains me to say it, Mya the almost pro is technically the best. She does not have the same entertainment value as Donny though.

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
I didn't see Shawn as a good dancer at all....at least not one that should have won.
Sometimes it comes down to the viewers. Last year your girl got thru, this year mine has got thru to the semi finals. Viewers were key in both. |

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
I think Arron left to soon. I thought he was one of the best male dancers on the show. I don't like his partner either, but I think she is a great dancer as well.
I do like Kelly and its been nice watching her, but honestly I think the judges are way to easy on her over her mistakes vs the other dancers. Like Arron who they would pick apart constantly. But whenever Kelly screws up its like they baby her. I'm rooting for Mya to win. I think she deserves the win. She is and has been the best dancer there IMO. Always receiving high scores and her performances. |

Re: DWTS -- Fall, 2009
Irish, yesterday Donny called into the JonJay and Rich radio show and said he would be dressed like Adam Ant (but dancing to that Dead or alive song, which I thought was odd).
I actually watched last night. I don't normally watch the second night (and lately I've been skipping the first night) but I LOVE Michael Buble and was curious to see Susan Boyle. I wasn't impressed by Sarah at all. She wasn't horrible, but I always got the impression she had a really strong voice. Last night proved otherwise. It would have been nice if they talked to her a little too (same with Michael Buble). Dance Center was hilarious too! Probably the best part of the show for me! I heard that the reason they did that little "pat on the back" to Aaron after he was eliminated was that he is teetering on the edge of his sobriety and the execs of the show are scared he may slip. I wasn't surprised he was the one to go, but I wish he could have stayed longer. He seemed so passionate about being there, it would have been fun to see what he would do in the final dance (free for all). I'm sad he left, and was also hoping Kelly would go, as I think she is the worst dancer at this point ... but ... that is not what this show is about. I have to keep reminding myself ot that ... :-( |
