Wow! Thanks Tucson, that was the perfect lead in. I was just sitting down to post for the first time in a while, and I saw your thread.



First off, I want to apologize for not posting sooner. Things have been very busy, (and not just at work). All I have had time for is to periodically pop in to see what's new. I was blessed to see all the supportive comments from Gemgeek, sistah2me, The Voice, beekeeper, bonnie hopson, Sparky, solace cura animarum,....and most recently mystylady (who I was very happy to see back).



I have wanted to address some things I've read but either I didn't have the time or I wasn't sure what I was allowed to say. I would get ready to post something...then things would change. It would kind of be like me telling everyone that the big news is that Tim Temple is at GemsTV.......and now he's at Shop NBC! Things are changing very rapidly in this business. I am not kidding when I say that it's is from one day to the next, and it's not just Perry's. It's the same with a lot of the shopping channels. From all the postings here, I know I'm not the only one that sees it. I will attempt to address as much as I can, and try not to leave anyone out.



Concerning the comments made by (robinz) about my faith in God: I'm not sure if your comment was an attack on Christianity, or just me directly. Whichever the case, I am sorry that you were offended. I am a Christian first. It is who I am...presenting jewelry is just what I do. It is interesting however, that gemstones and gold and silver are mentioned all through the Bible as something to be amazed by. In fact the Bible says that Heaven will be made out of these things!!!! Reason enough alone to want to be there,...right? Of course the REAL reason would be to where we get to spend eternity with or Savior....everything else is just really nice scenery for us to look at while we're there. I would NEVER use my faith to sell jewelry. Occasionally I talk about my faith because it is who I am! I try to use every opportunity available to me to tell people how good God has been to me. It is my testimony. If you will re-read my post you will see that is what I was doing. Out of eleven paragraphs, it was three sentences! Really, I think your issue may not be with me. However, let me set the record straight.....the Bible says that.."If we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart", (Psalms 37:4). I believe that this could be a new car (that you didn't have to worry would break down), a nice home (to raise a family in), a boat (to just have fun on), are even jewelry (to just look at and enjoy). BUT..the first part of that verse indicates that we put HIM first. I would NEVER want someone to over-extend themselves, to buy something from me. Do something else with that money first....pay your tithe, give to the church, help an overseas missionary spread the gospel, help the homeless...then if the Lord has blessed you to have the desire of a diamond ring...then I can help you with that too.



Concerning comments made by (bluezirc): I really don't know what your beef is with me. Maybe I remind you of someone that hurt you once. You are the ONLY ONE here that spews the HATE that you have for me. I know that there is a connection with you and Caroline Grey and that you are upset about her being off the air, and you somehow blame me for that. All anyone has to do is go back and read your posts to find that out. You RARELY post about anything other than how much you love Caroline and hate me. All I can say to you is that I will pray for you. Believe it or not, having that hate in your heart hurts you more than it does me.



To everyone else, here is some explanations and some updates: Gemcountry with Caroline Grey, used to broadcast through the same company that Perry's now uses, called Planet Connect. A decision was made by the OWNER of that company to pull Gemcountry's programming times and replace it with Perry's Estate Jewelry. From what I understand, this was purely a financial decision on his part. This is where bluezirc gets the impression that, (since I am the representative of Perry's), I am somehow responsible for that. From what I hear, Caroline has been in a reorganizational period and will be returning to TV soon, just in time for christmas.



Concerning Nicole Richards: We were happy to have Nicole for the time that we did. Nicole was going to do our "Internet Only" after hours show three nights a week and then rotate with Ginger and me on the broadcast. The was not enough "internet only" audience, so those shows were canceled. Perry's was not able to offer her enough additional hours, so she needed to go where she could get full-time work. I hear she may be going to GemsTV. If that's true, they will be fortunate to have her. I'm not sure if I was ever around Nicole when she wasn't nice. Very pleasant.



Concerning Cheryl Ells: It was very exciting when Cheryl decided to join us, but unfortunately this too was short lived. Cheryl felt like Perry's was a young ACN, and was enthusiastic about getting in at the beginning. She would always say, "This thing is gonna' be HUGE!!!". Perry's has been aggressively trying to get the right time SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM and add more shows but there has been one delay after another. The company that we broadcast through has to wait till a slot opens on Dish Network or Direct TV for them to be able to offer it to us. We would hear that a slot was coming open...and then it wouldn't. Very aggravating to say the least. Once again, we were not able to give Cheryl the hours she need, (that we were told we were going to have). So, the Direct TV slot she hosted was returned to the available roster. She and Nicole both left on great terms with the hope of returning when we can get the time slot schedule worked out.



For the moment, we are at the mercy of the company that we broadcast through. Planet Connect is a completely separate company that has no affiliation with Perry's, other than that is who we buy our air time from. In fact, there are three other home shopping businesses that broadcast through Planet Connect; a knife show, a coin show and a health supplement show....all vying for a time slot. If we could get the broadcast schedule we wanted we would be on Dish and Direct from 3pm to 9pm, seven days a week, tomorrow!!!



We are growing very quickly.........but no room to grow. This is why soon we will be partnering up with other shopping channels, so the we can expand the times we are on. There are presently two other jewelry networks that are extremely excited about teaming up with us. They see that the Estate Jewelry market is growing in a BIG way, and they want to be a part of it. I wish I could say more about it, but I can't till all the ink is dry.



Anyway, I hope this clears up a lot. The general manager of Perrys, Chris Scates, (who many people think he and I are one in the same), knew that I would be posting this and he wanted me to let everyone here know that if ANYONE has any questions in the future about Perry's, that they can call him directly at 1-866-577-1151. He said that he didn't want anyone to have to wait till I could get back on here to answer anyone's questions. He said he wants to hear from our awesome viewers personally. Please be sure to ask for Chris Scates, or they will think your asking for me. Thanks for your post. Please never apologize about sharing your faith. It seems like in the p/c world that if you have faith you better keep it hidden or you are basically an outcast. I guess we have gone even a step future not only separation of church and state(which is actually misrepresented actually but that's another subject) but also separation of church and society. Yet everyone else can freely give us there non-Christian views with no problems, I find that very hypocritical. As to the Tim Temple news that is surpising since his not so harmounous departure from that network several years ago. I am guessing those in charge that didn't renew his contract last time are gone now.

Caroline being fun to watch is like taking pleasure in auto accidents because children are getting killed, though I can agree that Chris is a bore, I worked in the building with both of them and she is no fun whatsoever to be around.
They both have huge hyperinflated egos that they aren't even shy about and I think she eats the souls of babies everyday...

My favorite, by the way, is Starlight Blue Zircon from Cambodia... not the crappy stuff but the Top Gem World Class few I've managed to put into my "special collection"

Chris Cooper used to work on JTV as a co host but is now on Perry's Estate Jewelry. You can watch online and it's on channel 225 on Dish, but only certain hours and days. You sould like me with your gem collection...I have a stack of tray 8's...they don't sell them anymore but they were the big square trays that hold 100 square gem jars, and I love my gemstones. I have a Nickle Topaz from DSN that is the best blue stone in the box....and the Rhodocrosite from GSN is the stone that I love the most of all.I have a wish list a mile long for when I win the lottery but I can still watch and drool for now :o/

I am so waiting to see if I have completed my emerald collection... I have the trapiche emerald... by the way it is my birthstone and now I am waiting to see if I actually have a cats eye emerald... I am so excited!!!! Man I am hoping that I was taken.... I mean I only bidded $.99 but still I want my collection completed with emerald... Well I don't have every emerald... I have a columbian and the trapiche 3. ctw and a .75 I think... but this would be the highlight of my collection if it is!!!! Oh MAN I can't wait!
